Polling is great. Voting is better a must!
August 16, 2022
FiveThirtyEight's forecast model now has Josh Shapiro and John Fetterman favored to win their respective races (86% and 73% chance respectively). While these odds are an improvement from their June forecasting model, it is by no means time to get complacent. If we've learned anything... polling doesn't win an election. Votes do. This is an extraordinarily important election. Our democracy is on the ballot.
We can't expect these extreme Republicans to do anything for the greater good or populist demand. The popular vote is not really their thing. Heck, even 11 GOP senators voted against the Honoring Our PACT Act. Truly shameful. And, sadly... it won't stop there. Education?
Democrats:
- Voted for the Inflation Reduction Act
- Voted for funding to boost baby formula supply
- Voted for active shooter alert system
- Voted to cap the cost of insulin at $35/month
Republicans:
- Nope
- Nope
- Nope
- Nope
We must Vote!
